Creating Your Account

Setting up your PropPhoto account is a two-part process: sign up, then complete your registration.

Step 1: Sign Up

Visit the Sign Up page. You have three options:

  • Continue with Google — Sign in with your Google account (fastest)
  • Continue with Microsoft — Sign in with your Microsoft account
  • Sign up with email — Click "Or use email instead", enter your email and a password

Email Signup

If you choose email:

  1. Enter your email address
  2. Create a password
  3. Click Sign Up with Email
  4. Check your inbox for a confirmation email
  5. Click the confirmation link to verify your account

If your email is already registered, you'll see a prompt to sign in instead.

Step 2: Complete Registration

After signing up, you'll be directed to the registration wizard — a 5-step process to set up your account.

2.1 — Your Details

Enter your first name and last name. This is your personal name, not your business name.

2.2 — Choose Role

Select Photographer to create a photographer account. (The other option is Client, for real estate agents.)

2.3 — Organization Type

Choose the type that best describes your business:

TypeDescription
Independent PhotographerYou work solo or freelance
Photography StudioYou run a photography business or team

2.4 — Organization Details

Fill in your business information:

  • Organization name — Your business or brand name (e.g., "Mike Rodriguez Photography")
  • Username — Your unique PropPhoto handle. This becomes your public profile URL: propphoto.com/@yourusername
    • Only lowercase letters and numbers allowed
    • No spaces or special characters
    • Max 30 characters
    • Must be available (a green checkmark confirms availability)
  • Country — Select your country
  • Region — Select your state or region (options load based on country)

2.5 — Choose Plan

Select your subscription plan. PropPhoto offers a free tier so you can get started without a credit card. Paid plans unlock more features like additional portfolio photos, service areas, and priority placement.

  • Toggle between monthly and annual billing (annual saves money)
  • Compare plan features side by side
  • Select a plan and click Complete Registration

If you choose a paid plan, you'll be redirected to Stripe to enter payment details. For the free plan, you'll go straight to your dashboard.

What Happens Next

After completing registration, you land on your photographer dashboard. From here you can:

Your profile starts in Draft status and won't be visible to agents until you complete it and set it to Public.

Tips

  • Google sign-in is the fastest — No email verification needed
  • Choose your username carefully — It becomes your permanent public URL
  • Start with the free plan — You can always upgrade later from your dashboard
  • If you don't receive a confirmation email, check your spam folder
